Main Features

  • Can be easily installed on general-purpose machines such as vertical lathes
  • When machining gothic arc grooves, there is a need to adjust the oscillation center of the grindstone by only the amount of the center offset of the arc. This stone lapping unit uses hydraulic pressure to moves the entire unit by only the amount of the offset, and the amount can be adjusted accurately with the help of its dial gauge and knobs.
  • Direct honing (stone lapping) can be performed efficiently from turned and rough-ground surfaces through the use of a one-touch grindstone replacement system makes it possible to change stones quickly and easily only by pulling a lever at the points between the rough, medium, and finish machining processes. This allows for machining with high-precision shape and surface roughness in a short time.
  • Adoption of parallel linkage creates an oscillation center at a remote point, realizing circular oscillation by using that point as the oscillating center of the workpiece. This eliminates the need for a mechanical axis center the workpiece oscillation center, and arms with large inertia are also not necessary.
  • Special structure with high rigidity can withstand the high load that occurs during the direct transition from grinding to the rough process of stone lapping
  • Equipped with special shielded bearings with rubber seals to prevent coolant from infiltrating into bearings at joint sections due to falling abrasive grains, extending the life of the unit
  • Continuous, simultaneous machining of double-ball grooves has achieved a drastic reduction in machining time
  • A rigid parallel linkage mechanism is used, and accuracy and efficiency are further improved by combining arc movement with 500 FPM oscillation. Oscillation angle, oscillation angle center conversion angle, and oscillation frequency can be easily set using the touch screen. Grindstone pressurization is controlled by an electropneumatic regulator, which also allows the conditions for multi-step rough and finish machining to be set, further improving accuracy and efficiency.
